lately it's felt like groundhog day around here...getting up, taking the kids to school, walking to the track, running around the track 8 times, walking home...blah blah blah...i work for a few hours today then am going to the phillies game with my dad...so far today we've eaten:

Cheerios/wheat/milk: 240 calories
Tuna w/ light mayo and 1 egg white on a tortilla: 418 calories

My dad is bringing me a ham hoagie from wawa for dinner tonight...according to wawa.com...

another day, another trip to the track....it was good...now i know there is such thing as too much info but if i'm going to talk about my diet i've got to include this...i have been soooo constipated the last day and a half it's ridiculous...i blame subway and their damn jalapenos...ok besides that we ate well so far today and picked up my wife's car from the garage...always nice when a car is fixed for free...after work tonight i'm going to take the dogs for a nice walk...calories today so far...

breakfast: cheerios/wheat/ milk: 240 calories
lunch: chicken sausage, ranch dressing, tortilla, soup: 540
sprinkles: 10 calories
790 calories total...

we are having chicken and corn on the cob for dinner tonight so the calorie count is looking good for today...

9/28, weigh-in and subway day...



Today we got up and walked, picked up our kindergartner on the way home, ate breakfast, ran some errands and had a tuna wrap and salad for lunch. I have work from 3-5 and work training from 6-9...yuck...i most likely will stop at subway in the hour that i have open...

So far today...
Cheerios/wheat/milk: 240 calories
Tuna w/ low fat mayo: 250 calories
tortilla: 120 calories
salad with 1/4 serving of seeds, 1 egg white and dressing: 135 calories

Total calories so far today: 745 calories

My sub tonight will be 600 calories plus 35 calories worth of carrots.

My total for today should be about 1,380 calories . I'll update this later if I eat something different. Don't know what the weather will be like tonight but I'm going to attempt to take the dogs for a walk. Hopefully it will be nice tomorrow so we can go to the track again. Our goal is to go every day this week if the weather cooperates.

I had a weigh-in day today and tipped the scales at 258.2 pounds...that's 16.6 pounds down so far...it's been a month so that's pretty good...i'm trying to avoid a plateau where you work just as hard with no results...

i'll update later if anything changes...

So Subway was yummy but i forgot to pack carrots so my actual calories for today was 1,345.

9/26 and 9/27





So i skipped the blog yesterday...was out running around from early in the morning til 8:30pm, then i had to watch Penn State and the Phils lose....anyway I got my new car, my wife and I walked around the Celtic Classic and skipped lunch yesterday because we went to the Melting Pot for fondue last night...it was really good, but I feel a little guilty for eating all that bread and cheese and sauce and chocolate....anyway here are my calories for yesterday:

Cheerios/Wheat/Milk: 240 calories
Melting Pot: Infinity Calories

Total for 9/26: Infinity 240 calories

Today we woke up and had Cheerios/Wheat/ Milk: 240 calories

The Eagles are on today and we're planning on going for a long walk later when the weather clears up...

later...Great day!!! Eagles destroyed the chiefs, Phillies finally won a game (barely)...we dropped my wife's car off to be fixed and walked the 5 miles home...so....yeah...not bad...had a great day food-wise.

Dinner:
Salad w/1/4 kidney beans, 1/4 seeds, 2 egg whites and dressing : 185 calories

Total calories for today: 875...what? crazy low, but after all we ate last night we just weren't that hungry...

we're watching a little tv then i'm going to take the dogs for a quick walk before bed...weigh in day tomorrow, hope it's good...

I don't have much to write so far today. I'm boring I guess...lol

Today I had the normal breakfast and sloppy joes for lunch...i also got really hungry around 3:30 and had a completely unnecessary power bar. Because of this I plan on having either sushi and soup or a hoagie for dinner tonight...Because I have a slow night, i'm going to grab a few groceries and some computer paper, do my paperwork, get something to eat, watch the phillies, walk the dogs and do my jog route...
Calorie totals:
Cheerios/wheat/milk: 240 calories
Sloppy Joes: 300 calories
1/4 serving of kidney beans: 25 calories
Tortilla: 120 calories
Power bar: 210 calories

Total so far: 895 calories...wowza it's only 4:30pm and that is a lot of friggin' calories...i should have passed on that power bar....oh peanut butter power bar you siren, you temptress... i guess i had better take it easy on dinner tonight...soup, sushi and carrots maybe? it's hard to come up with meals for one that don't taste like cardboard or leave you hungrier than before you ate....oh well i'll just be sure to run my ass off tonight before bed...on the plus side i pick up my new car tomorrow and we're going to a celtic festival...bad news is we're going to the melting pot, a fondue restaurant for dinner...nothing says "i'm on a diet" like melted cheese on bread and everything in the world dipped into chocolate...

so there are 2 reasons i didn't take the dogs out last night....it was lightning and threatening to storm and i was a lazy ass...we also didn't go to the track today because my wife had to work and we had to go get my car thing notarized.... however i did walk home from the insurance agency, which is about 2 miles mostly uphill...

1/2 serving ranch dressing: 40 calories
hot sauce: 0 calories

We had chicken and artichoke hearts in cream of celery soup, rice and corn for dinner....it was really good...

today we hit the track...it felt good...it was humid out so we both came back soaking wet...we had cheerios and shredded wheat for breakfast: 240 calories

for lunch....

then fish w/1% milk and fake butter sauce: 125 calories
noodles: 100

Total for today is 938 calories ....that is extremely low but i swear i'm not hungry and wouldn't have been surprised if the total had been like 1,300 calories...

Great tv and a dog walk left tonight....with the track today, softball practice and a dog walk I had better be losing some weight lol...

hello, late post today because i've been busy...lots of driving/cleaning out my broken car today, work, watching the kids....i'll give a quick food breakdown because we are going to go look at a car tonight and going out to dinner...i don't know if i can talk my wife into it or not but i just saw online that ruby tuesday has just come out with a very large healthy option menu...they display all their nutrition content right on the menu so you can make healthy choices....we shall see....

so after we found daddy a new jetta (lol)...we stopped at ruby tuesday and guess what? no light menu....so we decided to fake a work phone call and leave...we went to wawa and got subs...

lots of car stuff today, more to come tomorrow...my car is definitely totaled so i have to hustle to find a new one and i have to retrieve my junk out of the old one tomorrow...of course it's an hour away....ugh...i weighed in today...262 pounds...again i was hoping for a bigger number but it's another 2.5 pounds so i'll take it...

9/20 Eagles and Phillies Sunday





Woke up, had cheerios and shredded wheat...rode my bike to the store to pick up some food for lunch(5 miles total)...got sushi and diet dr. pepper (i know, i know)...i walked the dogs last night, but no jogging got done...i will definitely jog tonight, no excuses...today the iggles and the phils play at the same time so that's what i'll be doing...i also need to clean up the house a bit...dog walk and a jog are in order...i have insurance stuff to take care of tomorrow but hopefully will get to the track at some point...i need to be drinking more water...i feel like i haven't been...ok calories so far...

cheerios/wheat milk: 240 calories
sushi: 307 calories
soup: 240 calories

Total so far 787 calories...

i did some investigating and found out sushi is actually about 307 calories even though wegmans.com says it's 160...

I picked up enough sushi for dinner tonight as well....as i was typing this the saints drove the ball 75 yards and sliced through the eagles defense like butter scoring 7 quickly...it might be a long day...lol...more later...

ok...the eagles got smoked...it was not a fun game to watch...i walked the dogs today and am still planning on jogging tonight...we had sloppy joes instead of sushi, i'll have that tomorrow...

9/19 penn state/car accident saturday

ok so yesterday i didn't blog because we left the house at 11am and didn't get home until 3am...
here's what i ate and an educated guess at the calories....

Cheerios/shredded wheat: 240 calories
Subway ham sub on wheat/ no cheese: 600 calories
1.5 power bars: 300 calories
2 bites of steak: 60 calories
Fish fillet: 130 calories
mashed potatoes: 120 calories
squash: 10 calories
carrots: 10 calories
shrimp: 40 calories
sushi: 70 calories

Total: 1,580... it was a very long day with a lot of calories burned so I think it was good...i think my calorie count is pretty close....

So today I was supposed to work and instead got rear-ended on the way and never got there...now i have to deal with my insurance company and everything....at least no one was hurt and it wasn't my fault...I came home and was still kind of shaky and I was hungry and so close to just getting some Chinese food to feel better...instead i did kind of pig out but it was on pretty healthy food instead of fried chicken...

Cottage Cheese: 180 calories
Soup: 210 calories
Salad: 130 calories

So far today I'm at 760 calories....no idea what to have for dinner, but i know that i'm stressed and tired and want to chill out....my goal today is to nap, take the dogs for a walk, eat a small dinner and jog before bed...i'm happy that i ate half a container of cottage cheese instead of getting take out...

so i was lazy last night and didn't take the dogs out...i was really tired...and today it poured all morning so no track...even though we have to work almost 12 hours starting tomorrow afternoon we are planning on going to the track if it's not raining...i am super tired today and i was yesterday as well...i'm still doing well with the eating though....so far today...

I bought shredded wheat to mix with my cheerios because they're healthier than cheerios...

i got up and ate cheerios, went grocery shopping and jogged today...picked my son up from school, ate lunch and now i go to work for a few hours then to softball practice for a few hours...we did well at the store, bought everything low fat and low calorie...we did get 80 calorie orange vanilla popsicles for dessert....thank God too because i put too many red pepper flakes in my soup today and i think the popsicle literally put a fire out in my mouth...so the breakdown so far today:

Breakfast: Cheerios and milk: 300 calories
Lunch: Soup:220 calories
Small Salad with carrots and dressing: 100 calories
Popsicle: 80 calories

Total so far today: 700 calories

We'll probably have some form of chicken and corn on the cob for dinner tonight...it's cold out i think fall is definitely here...it was perfect jogging weather today...

update later....

so once again i was completely wrong about dinner...we had fish in a fake butter sauce and rice....it was scrum-diddly-yumptious...
Carrots for snack: 35 calories
Fish: 150 calories
Sauce using fake butter, pepper, 1/2 cup of milk and a tablespoon of flour: 110 calories
Rice: 275 calories
