11/30



We made it home today from Jamestown in just under 5 hours...i'm pretty impressed with my driving skills...When we got home we grabbed lunch and food for dinner from Wegmans and then i played racquetball for an hour.

I know i've been boring lately but my blogs will improve with my upgrade in exercise. Here's what i ate today--

sushi: 560 calories
pizza crust: 50 calories
fiber shake: 50 calories
popcorn: 100 calories
pasta: 500 calories

The fiber shake was horrible...you're supposed to have 200 calories worth of the mix but i wanted to try a little...glad i did and i probably never will again..maybe will give it another try with milk next time, but it was awful.

Anyways Total calories for the day 1,500

I will take the dogs out for a walk tonight if there is a break in the rain and we are fo sho going to the track tomorrow...

11/27 BLACK FRIDAY



i never was one of those early birds to wake up and go shopping on black friday before, but our aunt always does so i figured i would...then my wife decided to come too so it was a really good time...i got new sneaks, swishy pants and a jacket...she got a sweatshirt, dishes and bath and body works crap...
it snowed a little bit here today so it was nice...i went for a walk by myself in the snow...
here's what i ate today-

11/26 THANKSGIVING


Today was Thanksgiving...not necessarily a great day for dieting...ok maybe the worst day of the year for dieting but i didn't go nuts or anything...i went for one 3.5 miles walk and two 1 mile walks today...here's what i ate-

We had like no food in the house today due to all of our traveling. we had a loooong day today we had to have walked over 5 miles easily...we made plans to go fishing tomorrow morning and snorkeling on sunday....we're having a blast here...i don't know the caloric content of meals we've been having but considering the walking i think we're doing great...
we ate dinner at an all organic/ vegan type place called "help yourself" it was great and used all local fresh ingredients..

cheerios: 280 calories
vitamin water: 150 calories
taco salad w/ grilled chicken: about 600 calories
spicy peanut noodles & hummus: probably around 500 calories
budweiser: 140 calories

i hate beer but when you go on a pub crawl you have a drink at least one...

key west 11/18!!!


we got here this evening at around 6pm...we haven't even seen the beach yet and we love this place..we ate at a seafood restaurant on Duval Street called 915...it was expensive but delicious...we're about to go stick our tootsies in the pool here's what i ate today...

ham sandwich and fresh fruit: 500 calories
striped sea bass, rice and cheese plate: approximately 800 calories

Total for the day approximately 1,800 calories, but we did a lot of walking...the miami airport is like 80 miles long and we saw every square inch of it...

today was a different day...one kid home from school sick again...my wife's friend brought us a salad from applebees for lunch...i have to go to work in a little while then come home and finish up packing for our trip tomorrow.

11/16- weigh-in day




i weighed in this morning...240 pounds...same weight as when we got married...this was a mini-goal of mine and i'm glad to have gotten here fairly quickly...my next mini goal is 225 pounds...225 is the lightest i remember ever being as an adult...i walked around the mall again today running some errands, and i ate pretty well...before bed tonight i have to a. drink 2 bottles of water b. lift weights c. take the dogs out...here's what i ate today-

11/9 supposed to be weigh-in day

I am tired and sore from the weekend today. Because of a little bit of excess eating yesterday I am really going to be strict today. Today is supposed to be weigh-in day but I really don't want to because I got very little sleep, ate too much and haven't had a good poop in 2 days. TMI i'm sure...lol...oh and for the record penn state and the eagles both lost over the weekend...so it was probably good i couldn't watch either of them...

11/7 and 11/8

My wife and i worked more than 24 hours in these 2 days. We burned tons of calories but also ate cheese and things we wouldn't normally eat. What was positive though was we passed on like 10 million awesome kinds of junk food and candy. If I had to guess I'd say we were around 1,700 calories on saturday and probably around 2,000 + calories on sunday. it's been a crazy weekend in which we got about 4 hours of sleep.

so the phils lost 7-3 last night so the season is over...pedro looked old and tired...it has been another fantastic season and i don't see why they wouldn't be very good again next year...they are returning all of their position players and just need some pitching upgrades.

i have been good so far today. my wife and i went to the track. i work for a few hours today then i am in charge of the boys while my wife goes to a work function. we might be going out to dinner tonight with my sister but i'm not sure about that yet.

11/2---weigh-in day



so the phils lost again last night...they tied it up in the 8th inning and my hope soared...then brad lidge gave up 3 runs and the game and probably the phillies chances of back to back championships are over...they play again tonight so we'll see if they can at least get the series back to new york...it would suck for them to celebrate on our field...

anyway today was weigh-in day...i am a robust 242.8...32 pounds down so far in exactly 2 months...that's awesome i feel good but i still have 42.8 pounds to go...i'm hoping by summer i can be somewhere near that goal...

so today is a huge day in philly sports...the eagles unexpectedly beat up on the giants 40-17 today...now tonight the phillies are in pretty much a must win situation against the yankees...win and it's 2-2 with another home game tomorrow and your best pitcher going...lose and it's 3-1 with 2 of 3 games left to be played in nyc...
