today i had to watch my boys so going to the track didn't happen...however i am keeping my food journal and weighed myself in (ugh)
we just got back from vacation so our house is completely void of all food... therefore i did the number 1 worse thing a dieter can do...skipped breakfast...however, i had a ham sandwich on a pita with one thin slice of swiss cheese and mustard...i also had a campbells select harvest chicken noodle soup...total calories so far today
soup: 240 calories
sandwich: 1 slice of swiss cheese- 106 calories
3 slices of low fat ham- 90 calories
pita bread- 165 calories
squirt of mustard- 3 calories
Total 364 calories + 240 calories = 604 calories so far today
a helpful website i found is www.nutritiondata.com, there you can find almost every food and it's nutrition facts...i have noticed many foods, specifically lunch meat and cheeses do not list any calories on the package.
thinking about my average work schedule, i eat dinner around 7:30pm, so i needed to add another goal for the next 60 days which is NO EATING AFTER 8:00PM. I don't think this should be too bad except on nights that Top Chef is on...i swear that show and all their delicious food at 10:00 PM leads to more unnecessary eating than any other show...
once i start work at 1pm, i really have no temptation (or chance) to eat until i get home for dinner at 7:30ish, so i figure i have about 1100 calories that i can consume for dinner tonight and stick around the 1700 calorie per day goal.
i weighed in this morning and it was as bad as i thought 274.8 pounds...no matter how much i want to, i will not weigh myself again until next monday morning.
so far it's day 1 and i have done 2 things i wasn't supposed to do, i drank a diet soda with lunch, but there is only one can left in the house and then i wont be tempted anymore, and i didn't run, but i will walk the dogs an extra long walk tonight and i'm sure i'll play kickball or something at work today so that's good. It will be easier to get my running in next week when the kids go back to school.
